On the morning of October 19th, in Da Nang City, the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City, in collaboration with Samsung Vietnam, organized the ceremony for the collaborative project to develop smart factories in Da Nang City and the Central provinces in 2023.
The support process for the collaborative project to develop smart factories in Da Nang City and the Central provinces in 2023 includes three activities: Selecting support businesses, providing consultancy support for smart factory development, and post-management.
Samsung Vietnam conducted an assessment of the actual production processes at two businesses. Subsequently, specific improvement measures were proposed, such as establishing a real-time production monitoring environment, building a quality information management platform, creating a monitoring and forecasting environment for abnormalities, improving transportation processes, and more. Samsung also set specific goals for the level of achievement that businesses should reach after receiving support.
The selected businesses will undergo one week of theoretical training. Samsung experts from South Korea will train middle and senior management of the businesses on smart factory operations.
During the 11-week practical phase, Samsung experts and Vietnamese consultants will survey, assess the businesses, and directly advise and work with them to improve the on-site situation and establish a platform for process improvement, gradually establishing smart factories.
Finally, based on the on-site consulting results, the experts will continue to support the businesses in building operational systems and post-management. This includes encouraging businesses to independently continue implementing improvement activities, conducting periodic checks on the level of improvement in the production/IT field after the project.
