Trung Nam EMS Launches Made-in-Da Nang Tablet Production Line
On February 7, 2022, Trung Nam Electronics Manufacturing Services (Trung Nam EMS), a subsidiary of Trung Nam Group, officially rolled out its first batch of 2,400 “Gama Xelex X8” tablets. This milestone marks a significant step in high-tech tablet manufacturing in Da Nang, addressing the demand for affordable online learning solutions.
Key Features of the Gama Xelex X8 Tablet:

- Processor: Quad-core 1.3 GHz
- RAM: 3GB
- Storage: 32GB internal memory
- Connectivity: 4G LTE support
- Operating System: Android 10
This product is designed to meet the needs of online education, particularly within the framework of the “Waves and Computers for Children” initiative led by the Ministry of Information and Communications. Trung Nam EMS aims to manufacture 100,000 tablets to support this program.
Tablet Manufacturing at Trung Nam EMS
The production process at Trung Nam EMS is conducted on a modern, highly automated assembly line. Currently, the company operates one SMT (Surface Mount Technology) production line, capable of manufacturing 1,000 devices per day with a workforce of 136 engineers and skilled technicians.
Notably, the electronic circuit boards used in the tablets achieve a localization rate of over 60%, showcasing the company’s commitment to domestic production and supply chain autonomy.

Future Expansion and Job Creation
In 2022, Trung Nam Group plans to relocate its electronic manufacturing lines from the High-Tech Park to the Da Nang Information Technology Park. This transition includes the commissioning of two new factories in Subdivision A2, featuring 20 SMT production lines and creating 1,000 to 2,000 new jobs.
